THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Chemist 2, you are responsible for laboratory work in the analysis and examination of chemical substances and materials to ensure the completion of critical Bureau operations determined by varying workloads and program needs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Chemist 1; or
• One year of professional chemical analytical experience, and a bachelor's degree that includes 30 credits in chemistry or biochemistry; or
• A graduate degree in chemistry.
