Global Internship Program:
Exciting opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2024 Global Internship Program as a Labcorp Oncology Intern.
As a Labcorp Oncology intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that complement an education in STEM, business and healthcare disciplines.
Selected participants will be involved in a wide variety of research, training, and information dissemination activities supporting diagnostic testing for patients with advanced cancer. Our intern will be assigned a mentor-guided research project at the time of selection which will be customized based on his or her own interests within cancer genomics, biology, and laboratory testing.
Interns will benefit from a dedicated training and development program that will support their scientific and professional career aspirations. A successful intern can take pride in knowing that their contributions impact the lives of individuals battling cancer.

Our Oncology team comprises seasoned industry experts including pathologists, oncologists, pharmacists, and scientists, each bringing a wealth of knowledge from diverse scientific and healthcare backgrounds, collectively boasting decades of invaluable expertise. Over the last 25 years, Labcorp has played a historic role in launching some of the hallmark diagnostic testing for the treatment of cancer. Our dedicated Oncology team leads the way in ensuring these innovations are not just groundbreaking but also accessible to our patients, forging a path toward more effective and accessible cancer care.

Internship Assignment Summary
- Develop and present a mentor-guided research project upon completing the internship.
- Review current medical literature on a cancer diagnostics topic and present findings to the oncology team.
- Shadow Oncology leaders to understand our cancer diagnostic testing menu, clinical case sign-out, and key meetings with clinical and biopharma clients
- Collaborate with medical affairs team to aid in developing educational content for patients and healthcare providers.
- Engage in professional development workshops to enhance networking and professional presence. .
Education/Qualification/Skills:
- Pursuing a science-focused bachelor''s degree in fields like Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Pre-Med, Pre-Pharm, Pre-PhD, or related disciplines.
- Ability to deliver and present on projects.
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Embraces diverse ways of thinking through various forms of collaboration and partnership.
