ABOUT TIAMAT

Tiamat Sciences Corp. is growing the next generation of biomolecules using plants as bioreactors. Thanks to our proprietary platform, we can manufacture a wide range of high-value proteins, from antigens to growth factors. Our mission is to remove animal-based reagents and processes from cell culture technologies. We are currently working with awesome companies to bring Cellular Agriculture products and new medicines to the market and we are looking for a fantastic Scientist I to join our team based in North Carolina.

YOUR MISSION

In this position, your main tasks will be (but not limited to):
You will design and conduct complex research projects related to protein purification, formulation, and downstream processing.
You will take part in new product design.
You will perform QC analyses.
You will take part in upstream and downstream product optimization projects.
You will draft and review analytical development reports and assay and process validation reports.
You will draft procedures, reports, forms, and any other documentation.
You will collaborate with the team in performing general lab management activities such as ordering supplies and managing equipment.

YOUR PROFILE

Technical skills

You have a Master's degree in biochemistry, biology, plant biology or microbiology with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience; or
You have a Ph.D. degree with a minimum of 1 year of industry experience.
You have experience in recombinant protein engineering.
You have extensive experience in performing general analytical techniques such as FPLC, UF/DF, ELISA, Western blot analysis, and stability assays.
You have experience in protein formulation.
You have experience in project management.
You have industry experience with proficiency in experimental design.
An experience in plant transformation and plant cell culture will be an asset.
