Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering

TheDepartment of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Western New EnglandUniversity seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor Positionbeginning in August 2024. Candidates for this position must have a Ph.D. inArchitectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, (specialized in building systems)or a closely related field. The successful candidate is expected to teach coreundergraduate and graduate Architectural, Civil and Environmental engineeringcourses; pursue scholarly and funded research activities; provide professionaland community service as well as student advising.

PreferredQualifications:

• Expertise in architectural engineering and/or building systems.
• Expertise and/or experience in innovative architectural designs for buildings, structures, and sites
• Professional experience in architectural design, and smart and innovative building systems

WesternNew England University has a vibrant undergraduate Civil and Environmentalengineering program that emphasizes industrially relevant research and design,as well as an active Master of Science program. The CEE program prides itself on delivering high-quality engineeringeducation while providing strong mentorship to students. Qualifications:

• Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering (specialized in building systems), or a closely related field.
• College-level teaching experience (graduate TA experience acceptable)
