**Our VHS Float Pool is a program aimed at promoting professional nursing while utilizing our nurse's unique gifts of flexibility, expertise and experience. The VHS Float Pool provides the opportunity for nurses to work in full time, benefitted positions throughout our network, in a variety of units, including surgical, medical, critical care, and many others. Float Pool nurses are required to float to 3 facilities or 6 facilities.**
Graduate of an accredited school or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred.
2 years full time or three (3) years part time experience in acute care setting.
Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification. Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department. Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty or department.
Must comply with hospital based competencies regarding blood-borne pathogen exposure, age specific care and patient safety.
An RN graduate is a nurse who has completed a course of study at a school of nursing and is eligible for the NCLEX. The Rn graduate performs directly under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee. An interim RN license must be granted by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
