The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake CSD is seeking a qualified School Nurse to join our high school team. The School Nurse will be responsible for providing health services, promoting healthy living and wellness initiatives, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Pay rate:
RN: $28.00/hr
LPN: $20.89/hr
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Provide health care services to students and staff, including first aid, emergency care, and medication administration.
- Develop and implement health care plans for students with chronic health conditions.
- Monitor and maintain student health records, including immunization records and health assessments.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments, such as vision and hearing tests.
- Communicate with parents, teachers, and other health care providers regarding student health needs.
- Work with students/families to ensure physicals are up to date in order to participate on an athletic team
- Collaborate with school staff to promote healthy living and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, such as immunization requirements and communicable disease control measures.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay up-to-date on best practices in school nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing and a valid RN license.
- At least 1 year of experience in a school nursing setting.
- Knowledge of current health care practices, including first aid and emergency care.
- Familiarity with federal and state health regulations, such as immunization requirements and communicable disease control measures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
