The St. Joseph University Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Center and a Level 5 Magnet Hospital. The Emergency Department is a comprehensive stroke center, resuscitation center, and trauma center. The ED provides separate care for pediatric and adult patients and has 88 different treatment areas.

*Location*: 703 Main St. Paterson, NJ 07503

*Unit/Shift Details:*

Night shift (7:00p - 7:00a), 36 hours per week

· Every other weekend required

· Self-scheduling

Emergency Department RN- 96 beds w/ a busy, diverse patient population

The ER nurse will provide care to patients urgently needing treatment.

· Triage patients based on their level of need

· Stabilize incoming patients

· Perform tracheotomies and intubations

· Give sutures/stitches

· Float between different treatment areas of the ED

*Pay Details:*

· Starting pay $43.00

· Night Shift Pay Differential

· Required Weekend Shift - overtime pay

· Incentives for National Certifications

· Tuition Reimbursement offered

*Qualifications:*

· New Jersey RN License or Compact License accepted

· BLS (ACLS, PALS, and TNCC are also preferred but can be obtained later)

· At least 1 year of ER/ED, ICU, PCU/stepdown, or med/tele experience

· BSN (or enrolled in BSN program - must provide proof)
