The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine is recruiting an Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development. This position leads efforts to ensure that BSOM recruits, promotes and retains an outstanding and diverse faculty to meet our core missions of education, research, and patient care, providing medical school faculty with support and development.
Reporting to the Dean of the School of Medicine, the Associate Dean works with senior leadership of the school including the Dean, Chief Administrative Officer, Department Chairs, as well as offices of faculty affairs and general counsel of the parent university. Key goals are to oversee the creation and implementation of innovative programs for faculty development and facilitating the advancement of an academic workforce that promotes excellence.
Candidates must possess a terminal degree with academic and progressive administrative/ leadership experience at Associate Professor or Professor level. The successful candidate must have at least five years' experience in a significant leadership role in medical education; preferably with faculty affairs or faculty development within a department or division. The successful candidate will have knowledge of LCME accreditation requirements, an ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administration and staff, and a commitment to inclusive excellence.
