Description

This position is a system float and will float to our entire organization including Conneaut, Geneva, Geauga, Portage, Lake Hospitals, Ahuja, Cleveland, Elyria, St. John, Parma and Samaritan. This is a just-in-time staffing model. Employees will call in everyday to get their work location for that night. It is a straight night position, every other weekend, no holidays. This is for the following specialties - ED, ICU, Step Down and Med Surg. Two years of experience in one of these specialties is highly preferred and employees will work in their current specialty. This is a self-scheduling position.

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
\n
Dimensions are Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
\n
Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
\n
Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
\n

Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
Qualifications

Position Requirements:
\n
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
\n
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
\n

Education Requirements:
\n
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from accredited program preferred.
\n
Minimum of Diploma/Associate's Degree in nursing from accredited program.
\n

\n
License Requirements:
\n
Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
\n
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
