The Department of African American and Diaspora Studies at Vanderbilt University seeks a scholar of Comparative Diaspora Studies, discipline open, for a three-year, non-tenure-track appointment as a Mellon Assistant Professor of African American and Diaspora Studies. Successful candidates will focus on one or more of the following areas: North America and Latin American Studies, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, or the Pacific and Indian Ocean Worlds. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand by August 1, 2024. In addition, in accordance with Mellon Foundation guidelines, applicants must have received the Ph.D. no more than four years from the start of the position.
