The birthing center at UH TriPoint Medical Center is designed specifically to provide advanced obstetrics care while enhancing safety, comfort and convenience for moms, newborns and their families. Our spacious, private patient rooms are built around the labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) model, meaning that moms remain in the same room through all phases of the birth process including recovery and the post-partum period.
Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
\n\nImplements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.\nDemonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.\nDemonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.\nDevelops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.\nDisplays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.\n\n
Required For All Jobs
\n\nAll RNs are expected to be cross trained to all areas of the unit:
\nPost - Partum (Mother Infant)
\nNormal Newborn Nursery
\nLevel II Special Care Nursery (Upon Opening)
\nOB OR Circulator
\nOB OR Scrub RN
\nAntepartum\n\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nComplies with all policies and standards.\nFor specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.\nMust abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.\nQualifications
1 year of inpatient Labor and Delivery RN experience required for this position.
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of Diploma/Associate's Degree in nursing from accredited program.
Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio
