Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job:
Responsible for teaching a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses within our course curriculums to support the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology's B.A./B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice, MS in Criminal Justice, and MS in Leadership & Management.
Educational Requirements for the Position:
The position requires a J.D. or Ph.D., in criminal justice, criminology, or a related social science field.
Experience Required for the Position:
The successful candidate would have relevant teaching in areas such as Research Methods, Juvenile Justice and Delinquency, Corrections, and Policing. College or University level teaching experience across multiple modalities (both in-person and online) and successful integration of innovative and active learning techniques is preferred.
Special Instructions Summary:
The position is a nine-month appointment, renewable annually. The possibility of summer teaching is budget dependent. This appointment is effective during the 2024-2025 academic year.
