Position Summary:

The Department of Psychology and Counseling, in the College of Education and Behavioral Science, seeks a highly qualified Visiting Professor of Psychology for the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Accredited School Psychology Track of the Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) Degree Program in Psychology and Counseling

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Teaching may include but not be limited to the following school psychology graduate courses:
    • Psychological and educational assessment and interventions
    • Professional school psychology
    • Crisis intervention and prevention in school and community
    • Developmental and differential psychology
    • Theories of learning
  • Student advisement and mentoring
  • Maintaining an active research program
  • Provide service to the program, department, college, and university
  • Other duties as assigned


Ability to provide student advisement and mentoring

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:
Eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Psychologist in Arkansas

Minimum Qualifications:

A doctoral degree from a recognized school psychology program accredited/approved by the NASP or the American Psychological Association (APA). Applicant must be eligible for licensure as a School Psychology Specialist in Arkansas with the Arkansas Department of Education and certification as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP)
