Job Description
The Humanities Department at Sarah Lawrence College seeks a guest faculty position in the history of the Indian Ocean world/South Asia for the 2024-25 academic year. The position is half-time, comprising two semester-long courses; these can either be taught in the same semester (both in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025) or else one per semester.

Successful candidates will also have a demonstrated commitment to innovation and teaching excellence in the classroom, and to working individually with students. To apply, candidates should submit a cover letter, C.V., proposed syllabi for two courses, a statement of teaching philosophy, and two reference letters.
