Description:

The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. ABA certification in anesthesiology along with ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license are required. Clinical responsibilities may include the provision of neuroanesthesia and general anesthesia at HUP and PPMC.

Additional responsibilities will include leadership of the Division of Neuroanesthesia across all three missions: Clinical, Education, and Research. This involves accountability for productivity in all three areas and for positively impacting growth in each domain. The successful candidate will be expected to recruit, support, and mentor faculty specializing in Neuroanesthesia within the division, including participation and collaboration to improve patient care, and collaboration with other leaders in the Department, Service Line, Hospital, VA and Health System to improve the division.
