Department of Journalism and Media Management

School of Communication

University of Miami

The Department of Journalism and Media Management in the School of Communication at the University of Miami is seeking a full-time lecturer to teach courses in our growing undergraduate and graduate programs, starting in August 2024. The ideal candidate will have experience in and ability to teach courses in some of the following areas: media law and regulation, media entrepreneurship, branding, analytics, management of news, entertainment, and social media.

The position requires teaching, holding office hours, advising and mentoring of students, as well as serving on departmental, college, and university committees as needed.

A Master's or J.D. degree and professional experience with media organizations are required for this non-tenure position. Prior college-level teaching experience is helpful, but not required.
