Position Overview:
The Department of Pharmaceutics is currently seeking a postdoctoral fellow in the Aerosol Research Group directed by Dr. Michael Hindle, Peter R. Byron Distinguished Professor, Virginia Commonwealth University. This research program is translational research to develop aerosol formulation and device combinations to treat neonatal and pediatric lung diseases with enhanced efficacy. Passionate and driven researchers with a strong background in pharmaceutical sciences are strongly encouraged to apply. The postdoc fellow will participate NIH-, FDA- and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-funded research projects and get comprehensive training in translational therapeutics.
Required Qualifications:
* Successful candidates must hold a PhD in the field of pharmaceutical sciences or a related area.
* This position requires a motivated candidate, who has excellent oral and written communications skills.
* Candidates must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research group.
* Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong background in pharmaceutics, drug delivery, aerosol science, pharmaceutical formulation sciences or other pharmaceutical science research preferred.
