This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the field of cardiology!

Responsibilities:
  1. Data Analysis and Modeling:
    • Extract and analyze data from medical charts, clinical trials, and real-world evidence.
    • Apply statistical methods to diverse sources of data, including patient records and device performance data.
    • Develop predictive models to identify trends, patterns, and potential risk factors related to cardiology and medical devices.
    • Tune models for performance metrics such as UROC, AUPRC, Sensitivity, and Specificity.
  2. Algorithm Development:
    • Design and implement analytic algorithms to process and interpret medical data.
    • Leverage machine learning techniques to discover impactful insights from high-dimensional, noisy data.
    • Continuously improve and validate machine learning algorithms to ensure robust and reliable performance.
  3. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with clinicians, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand medical needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science into medical device development processes.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
  4. Reporting and Visualization:
    • Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
    • Present data-driven insights to investigators, sponsors, and regulatory bodies.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for data analysis procedures and model development.
  5. Quality and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) related to medical devices.
    • Promote digital culture and capabilities across the organization.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, PyTorch, etc.) and data analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib, NumPy).
  • Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and causal inference.
  • Knowledge of cardiology, medical devices, and healthcare domain.
  • Experience in developing and tuning models for performance metrics such as UROC, AUPRC, Sensitivity, and Specificity.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary/contract
  • Potential for longer-term employment
  • Impactful work in improving patient care

Application Process: Please submit your resume, a cover letter detailing your relevant experience, and any pertinent project examples or publications. We also require that you submit your expected hourly rate for this opportunity.
