Job DescriptionJob Description
Huntington University is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach HS115: Historical Perspectives on Culture and Civilization I and HS116: Historical Perspectives on Culture and Civilization II for fall and spring semesters, 2024-2025. These are 3-credit hour courses and they aim to introduce first-year undergraduate students to the main themes and problems of western civilization. The fall course provides coverage from the period of Ancient Near Eastern civilizations to Europe in the late Middle Ages, and the spring course from the Scientific Revolution to the recent past. In addition, the courses introduce students to concepts in historical thinking and the tools of historical analysis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include:

• Master's degree in History or related field,

• Teaching experience and potential for success in college-level teaching, and

• Supportive of a Christian faith environment and the University's educational goals.
