With your deep knowledge in the discipline, you will be an active team member who influences at the project team level. You will be using your scientific judgment to adapt standard methods and techniques by applying prior work experience and consulting others.
Your ability to plan will help in preparing short-term work activities on projects. Your creativity in developing novel processes and new ideas will be used frequently. You will undertake mentoring activities to guide your team members.

Additional Information:
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,900.00 to $124,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary. - Apply technical skills, scientific and functional knowledge to projects/ assignments within own work group/ project team independently and proactively.
- Perform laboratory experiments to help establish robust disease biology, cell-based compound screening assays across a broad array of target classes for the project teams.
- Prepare and present experimental results to project teams.
- Comply with all safety training and good laboratory practices.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience in the Academic/biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
- Master's degree in biology, biochemistry, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience in the Academic/biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
- Solid understanding of concepts of molecular, cellular, cancer and immune biology.
- In-depth, hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture establishment, expansion, and characterization.
- Experience creating and characterizing genetically modified cell lines using viral vector-based or electroporation/transfection-based techniques.
- Experience in cellular and immune cell-based analytics and assay development including, but not limited to, fluorescent microscopy, flow-cytometry/sorting, cell labeling, cell proliferation assays, cytotoxicity assays, and ELISA.
- Ability to troubleshoot, interpret, and summarize scientific data.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must be goal-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize.
Nice-to-Have
- Understanding of molecular biology assays including DNA cloning, PCR, qPCR, and Western blotting.
- Experience with oncology drug development.
- Experience with high throughput and automated lab equipment and assays.
