The Department of Educational Studies in Ohio University's Patton College of Education invites nominations and applications for instructor positions for specific courses in the department. The successful candidate will be assigned a course(s) to teach in Educational Leadership, offering doctoral and master's degree programs and principal and superintendent licensure programs.
Responsibilities:
The appointee may be assigned to teach graduate students on the Athens campus, one of the regional campuses, and/or online.
Minimum Qualifications
* Ph.D. or Ed.D. earned prior to appointment, from an accredited university in a relevant field (in addition to education, other relevant fields would include public policy, political science, sociology, comparative and international education).
* Experience in educational leadership in one or more of the following areas: P-12 leadership, higher education, community-based programs, educational organizations, policy arenas, and other education-related settings
Preferred Qualifications
* A commitment to teaching and service that supports schools and communities
* Evidence of scholarly capacity
* Commitment to working with diverse populations
* Excellent communication, collegial, and interpersonal skills
* Evidence of effective in-person and online experience teaching adults
Department Educational Studies Pay Rate
Dependent upon enrollment and courses taught.
