Short Description:
Partnering with a physician leader, the Vice President will bring executive level thinking and a strategic mindset to the position. She/he must be able to build a cohesive vision for cancer services and lead the execution of a well-developed plan to achieve System-level goals and objectives. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to grow programs while building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide variety of clinical partners. Along with key physician leaders, this person will be the voice and face of MDA Cancer Center at Cooper and must be able to manage complex relationships and multiple stakeholders. The Vice President will lead the continued advancement of the MD Anderson partnership and help position Cooper as the premier provider of cancer services across our region. A relational and servant leader mindset is critical to success.
Responsible for daily management and coordination of MDA at Cooper's operations as well as the development and implementation of the mission, long-range strategic plans, goals and objectives.
Provide administrative leadership for the entire range of programs.
Manage a comprehensive range of programs with the objectives of improving the quality/value of services available to patients and physicians, and improving overall profitability.
Ensuring optimal patient experience and access through a focus on provider recruitment, office and procedural template management and session utilization
Focus on engagement and experience of team members and patients through routine rounding and closely monitoring patient and team feedback through organizational tools
Work collaboratively with supportive departments across the Cooper continuum that may affect the cancer patient's experience which may include; radiology, laboratory, surgery, emergency department and inpatient operations
Experience Required:
In-depth knowledge of strategic planning and business development. Require demonstrated experience in Disease-Based Care, Physician Network and Hospital Development.
Experience working with budgets and financial management.
Ability to articulate a vision and lead others through change.
Collaborative executive capable of advancing program.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated, successful managerial background.
Well-developed organizational, analytical and negotiating skills.
Literate in MS Office software.
Education Requirements:
Masters Degree (MBA, MHA, MA) required.
