Overview:
Responsible for promoting health and safety in the school environment by providing the quality and quantity of health care services to school aged children. The position will be full-time a 9 month school year schedule.
Responsibilities:
Supports organization's mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.
Provides primary care services to school-aged children
Collaborates with appropriate health care providers and school personnel to ensure continuity of health care
Refers children, school employees, and parents to appropriate community resources
Assists in orientation of new advanced practice school-based employees
Adheres to the organization's policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
Qualifications:
Licensure as an advanced practice RN in NJ, Masters degree in nursing from an NLN accredited program and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
2 + years of primary or ambulatory care nursing experience preferred; experience working with a culturally diverse population
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal with ability to supervise others
Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite required
