OverviewAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurses to support the Atlanta VA Health Care Center located at 1670 Clairmont Rd, Decatur, GA 30033. Nurses may also be asked to provide services at Community Based Outpatient Centers (CBOC). Multiple shift schedules are available. ResponsibilitiesThe Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory services shall be provided in accordance with the policies of the VA healthcare system where assigned. Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor and examine patients prior to procedures, as well as during and after
  • Administer medications and assist the medical team in whatever they may need during the procedure
  • Prepare patient and the surgical field in a sterile manner, and select required instruments, catheters, guide wires, and ancillary equipment necessary for the prescribed procedure
  • Assist with catheter exchanges, injections, and balloon dilation
  • Provide venous access via initiation of an intravenous (IV) line
  • Care for patients requiring invasive hemodynamic support equipment to include an intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) or an Impella
  • Influence care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Poised and articulated when communicating with people of varied educational levels and varied ethnic backgrounds
  • Works cooperatively as a member of a team in all assignments
  • Participates in unit/program level quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programs
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN)
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • American Health Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Three(3) years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN work experience is required
All candidates must be able to:
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
