The Department of Molecular Life Sciences (DMLS) at the University of Zurich wishes to offer an assistant professorship to successful SNSF Starting Grant applicants from the fields of molecular, cellular and computational biology. The DMLS, which will act as host institution to support selected applications, is an inclusive and diverse working environment where a wide range of cutting-edge approaches - including single-cell genomics, quantitative multi-scale imaging and computational biology - are applied to investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms of living systems. Current research topics include multi-cellular dynamics and organ differentiation, systems biology, genomics and neuronal development and function.
To be eligible for SNSF Starting Grants, applicants should have a ‘Swiss-link': either Swiss nationality, two years of research experience in Switzerland or hold a Master's, PhD, or equivalent degree from an accredited Swiss higher education institution. The submission deadline for Starting Grant applications is 15 th January 2025.
