Job Scope: Seabee Technical Trainers
- Deliver specialized training to apprentice Seabees in BU, SW, CE, EO, and UT ratings
- Provide skill refinement through repetitive practice aligned with Navy Occupational Standards (OCCSTDs)
- Enhance capabilities of Pacific and Atlantic Fleet Naval Construction Force
- Contribute to advancement opportunities for Seabees
- Develop a more knowledgeable and technically competent Naval Construction Force
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years experience in respective occupational field
- At least 5 years experience as an instructor or construction Crew Leader / Project Supervisor
- Steel Worker SME / Instructor: CWE certification required within first year
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State, and Local security procedures
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
- Working knowledge of NAVEDTRA manuals, industry references, and codes
- Understanding of SCM User's Manual
- Strong construction math skills
Skills and Abilities
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Work independently or in a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of Navy OF-07 structure and construction-related vocations
- Extensive knowledge of construction management principles
- Experience with computers and automated office equipment
- Familiarity with open purchase ordering process
Additional Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship (proof required)
- High School Diploma
- Good health and professional appearance
- Willingness to spend time in field training or travel
- Ability to operate visual information equipment
- Favorable NACLC investigation
- Valid CPR qualification
