Columbia Law School (CLS) is seeking to hire one or more tenure track faculty members in the area of law.
Responsibilities include teaching a full academic load; regular publication of significant scholarly work; and if ultimately appointed as a tenured member of the CLS Faculty, active participation in faculty affairs, including membership on standing faculty committees in consideration of a wide range of issues including faculty appointments and curricular modifications.

Salary Range:
$195,000-$240,000
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
- J.D. (or J.D. equivalent); or Ph.D.
- At a minimum, a candidate for Associate Professor of Law is expected to have high levels of educational attainment appropriate to law teaching, including a strong academic record.
- Demonstration of the capacity for original and high-quality scholarship (as demonstrated through prior work or works in progress); evidence of ability to engage in clear and effective teaching (through prior experience and/or through a presentation to the faculty of law), and attainment of a high reputation among those in the scholarly community (as determined through recommendations). Law journal experience; judicial clerkship, especially Supreme Court; significant practical experience and expertise in law practice; academic honors and fellowships.
