About Us

Founded in 1852, GSC is a member of the University System of Georgia. The college has a distinctive legacy of excellent scholarship and service. GSC offers nearly 30 degrees, which includes multiple associate and baccalaureate pathways for students. With an enrollment of over 3,100 students, GSC offers an intimate academic setting with state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories. In this setting, students receive individualized attention that only a small college with dedicated faculty and staff can provide.

Job Summary

Primary responsibilities will include teaching elementary and/or secondary methods courses, teaching courses in other departments within the School of Education, Arts, and Humanities, and supervising students in their clinical placements. Candidates will also be required to serve on department, school, and college committees as well as engage in scholarly professional development.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in education (or a related field) for a non-tenure track position.

Doctorate or ABD with defense date determined for a tenure track position.

Candidates must have successful teaching experience in an elementary or secondary classroom.

Preferred Qualifications

A completed doctorate and qualifications to teach inter-departmentally.

Preference will be given to candidates with successful college teaching experience and with online teaching experience.

Other Information

Salary: $53,000.00
