Primary Functions:

The instructor must be able to teach an effective class using a mixture of lecture, video, and other tools to make the class an interesting, engaging, and fun environment for the students. Other duties will include assigning and grading of homework, tests, projects, reporting student learning outcomes and anything else required during the semester. Instructors are expected to be available to students throughout the semester both by phone and email and attend meetings as required by the program director.

Essential Functions:
•Teach assigned course in accordance with College defined learning objectives and specified digital resources.
•Develop course content, assignments and learning activities that permit measurement of student performance relative to standardized learning objectives.
•Maintain and contribute to an inclusive and collaborative class environment.
•Employ college learning management system (LMS) and adhere to good instructional practices (examples include: published syllabi, office hours, regular reporting of grades)
•Submit attendance and Midterm/Final Grades into the student information system (CAMS) at required time frames.
•Provide timely response and support to guide student learning and success throughout the semester via phone, email and/or the Trocaire College LMS.
•Track and report student outcome assessments as assigned.
•Cultivate a desire to build relationships, find solutions to problems and engage students in a way that promotes accountability for their learning.
•Commit to enriching the lives of students by promoting a positive learning environment; enhancing the quality of the student experience; and philosophically supporting programs and policies that facilitate student success.

Minimum Qualifications:
•A minimum of a Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or a Bachelor's degree with significant professional experience.
•Professional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or CompTIA Security+ may be preferred or required.
•Experience working in the cybersecurity field, preferably in roles such as a cybersecurity analyst, network security administrator, or similar positions.
•Prior teaching experience, especially in a higher education setting, is desirable but not always required.
•Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, incident response, and risk management.
•Proficiency in teaching a range of cybersecurity topics, from introductory to advanced levels, catering to students with varying levels of expertise.
•Familiarity with industry-standard cybersecurity tools and software, as well as the ability to teach students how to use them effectively.
