The Assistant/ Associate Professor is expected to provided students' instruction, advising, curriculum development, program design, and lead/conduct research activities including published articles/books.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Teach courses as assigned. Minimum teaching load is twenty-four credit hours annually. Courses are delivered face-to-face, online, and hybrid.
* Maintain required office hours and provide academic advisement to assigned students.
* Participate in the development, review, and improvement of curriculum.
* Participate in departmental, college-wide, and university-wide committees and activities.
* Serve as faculty advisor for a student organization.
* Work collaboratively with other faculty on schedule development, marketing events, student and faculty recruitment, retention efforts, and other departmental or college-wide activities.
* Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

* Master's degree in content area or closely related with at least 18 graduate credit hours from a regionally accredited university.
* Considerable professional experience in the discipline at a high managerial or supervisory level.
* Commitment to teaching excellence, innovative curriculum development and academic advising for students in the college.
* Willingness to teach at both the main campus and the CSU Dayton location.
* Demonstrate potential for developing publishable research.
* Experience and interest in teaching students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
* Ability to use technology in instruction and advising.

Preferred Qualifications

* Ph.D. or earned doctorate in related discipline.
* Experience in developing and teaching online courses.
* Demonstrated ability to generate grant proposal.
* A record of published research in peer-reviewed journals.
