What you'll do
  • Acts as a lead and most senior member of the team, overseeing the implementation of projects, mentoring junior colleagues, and driving technical excellence across data products
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust data pipelines using modern data engineering practices
  • Transform raw data into analysis-ready datasets, empowering end users and supporting business decision-making
  • Implement DevOps best practices, including automated code generation, data validation, and environment maintenance (development, test, production)
  • Write production-quality code while following best practices for maintainability, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Act as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, promoting data-driven decision-making and ensuring efficient use of data assets
  • Participate in cross-functional agile teams to develop and deliver high-quality data products at speed
  • Ensure clear, consistent documentation of datasets, processes, and analysis, while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and unified data standards
  • Collaborate with the platform team to discover opportunities to improve our systems and processes to have high-quality data

What makes you a good fit
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data integration, modeling, and provisioning, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud data ecosystems (e.g., Microsoft Azure)
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and DAX, with experience in ETL/ELT design, data specifications, and quality assurance
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks preferred
  • Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines and enterprise scale development using tools like Azure DevOps
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex data concepts to business stakeholders
  • Fluency in English is required; German is a plus
