About this Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Product Development Specialist to join our team in the development of cutting-edge Thermal Interface Materials (TIMs). This role focuses on designing, formulating, and optimizing materials that enhance thermal management in applications such as electronics, renewable energy, and telecommunications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in materials science, thermal conductivity, and product development processes.

What you'll do

  • Formulation, and testing of new thermal interface materials (e.g., thermal pastes, pads, adhesives, and gels).
  • Identify and explore novel material compositions to improve thermal performance, mechanical properties, and reliability.
  • Conduct material testing for thermal conductivity, viscosity, mechanical properties, and durability under various conditions.
  • Manage multiple product development projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and market needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with application engineering, production, and marketing teams to bring products from concept to commercialization.
  • Define product specifications, timelines, and ensuring project milestones are met.
  • Develop and maintain test methods for product validation and quality assurance.
  • Analyze failure modes and implement improvements to enhance product performance.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand application requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in thermal management materials.
  • Active interaction with suppliers to source raw materials and optimize formulations

What makes you a good fit
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product development, with a focus on thermal interface materials or related fields.
  • Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field (PhD preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of thermal conductivity mechanisms, material science principles, and polymer formulations.
  • Hands-on experience with material characterization techniques (e.g., thermal conductivity testers, rheometers, TGA/DSC).
  • Familiarity with thermal management requirements for electronics, or renewable energy applications
