Job Summary

The Department of Physics at Drexel University invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position in theoretical condensed matter physics, with a projected start state in the fall of 2025. The successful candidate will work in the Quantum Condensed Matter Theory group of Prof. Jrn Venderbos, focused on research areas which include-but are not limited to-topological quantum materials, 2D materials and heterostructures, strongly correlated electron systems, complex electronic ordering phenomena, and unconventional superconductors. A close collaboration with experimental research groups both in the Physics Department and the Department of Materials Science & Engineering is anticipated.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct independent research.
  • Write and publish manuscripts in top-tier pier-reviewed journals.
  • Present at conferences and workshops.
  • Interact with collaborating groups, in particular experimental groups
  • Other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a PhD in Theoretical Physics or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD with primary focus on Quantum Condensed Matter Physics.

Additional Information

This position is classified as Exempt with a grade of K, [$54,630.00 - $ 81,940.00 ]. The offered salary is dependent upon internal equity and the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience.
