Job Details
You will contribute to the postgraduate teaching programmes, enhance the profile of the Department and the Centre for Research on Ageing, and bring a proven record of scholarship. You will be expected to teach on the MSc in Gerontology, MSc in Gerontology (Research) and MSc Global Ageing and Policy, and supervise MSc students, face-to-face and by Distance Learning.
You will have a PhD (completed or near-completion) or equivalent in Gerontology or in one of the Social Sciences or in a discipline closely related to the study of ageing (e.g. Social Policy, Demography, Sociology, Health, Economics, Psychology, Social Statistics, Geography) and have relevant teaching and administrative experience. We would expect the successful applicant to have a background in ageing and the ability to strengthen existing expertise in this area and contribute to the teaching of students in receipt of Commonwealth Scholarships.
