The post-doc fellow will take part in the research of photocatalytic conversion of methane to valuable products coupling with hydrogen evolution from water. We seek a candidate with laboratory experience in the preparation and characterization of photocatalysts and photocatalytic activity experiments. Skills in the preparation of nanostructured materials, including the synthesis of hybrid nanomaterials like metal nanoparticles-semiconductors, are requested.

The candidate is desirable to have good knowledge/experience of the following techniques: energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), UV-Vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and basic knowledge of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and gas chromatography (GC).

The position is for two years, with a possibility for extension. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral scholarship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
