Do you have experience of working within an animal laboratory environment?

Do you want to be part of a technically trained team providing a proactive support service to ensure a high quality scientific facility for researchers?

 

As a Junior Animal Technician, you will carry out routine animal laboratory duties (50% working in the cage wash/sterilising area. The other 50% carrying out routine animal husbandry duties including rodent breeding). You will be part of the St. James' Biomedical Services (SBS) team responsible for ensuring high standard animal care and services are maintained to support a wide range of world class research programmes at the University of Leeds. As a team member, you are required to work effectively with staff and others to promote good working practices ensuring service adaptability to meet the changing needs of the facility and the customers. Experience in working in an animal laboratory environment and a proactive and logical approach to problem solving are essential qualities for this post.
