Job Purpose
Birmingham Law School wishes to appoint a Teaching Fellow to add to our diverse and stimulating intellectual community. The post is full-time for 12 months from 1 September 2019.
The post-holder will be expected to undertake:
Teaching (lectures and seminars) in at least 3 of the modules/areas listed in the job description. Undertake marking in a range of modules and subject areas. Undertake various academic related administrative roles. Provide pastoral and academic support to students. Assist on modules supporting students' skills development.

Person Specification
Essential
- Higher degree relevant to research or teaching area or equivalent qualifications and/or relevant experience practising as a lawyer in those fields.
- High level analytical capability
- Ability to design and deliver module materials successfully
- Ability to assess and organise resources effectively
- Understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes
Desirable
- Experience of teaching on modules on undergraduate law degree programmes.
- Experience of marking and assessing students on undergraduate law degree programmes.
- Experience of undertaking various academic administrative roles in higher education
- Experience of advising students about their academic and personal development
