The Department of Neurology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a mid-level/senior BC/BE neurologist with expertise in neuromuscular disorders, particularly myasthenia gravis, to lead our Neuromuscular Section. Fellowship training is required; in Neuromuscular Medicine and EMG is highly desirable. The applicant is expected to participate in providing leadership to the Neuromuscular Disorders Division, the EMG Laboratory, MDA Clinic, outstanding clinical services to a large cohort of patients with Myasthenia Gravis and contribute to an active clinical, translational and basic research programs relevant to neuromuscular disorders. A large patient referral network, the UNC Neuroscience Center, UNC Gene Therapy Center, availability of 3T imaging and fMRI, a supportive clinical trials milieu and close integration with one of the top schools of public health are among the assets available to support strong research programs. The Chapel Hill/Research Triangle Region is widely regarded as an affordable, leading academic/biotech region with an exceptionally high quality of life. Rank is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Educational Requirements: MD. Fellowship training is required: Fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine and/or EMG is highly desirable.
