Job description
Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have an established background in weather and climate services and social sciences? Do you want to further your career in one of the UKs leading research intensive Universities?
This position is funded by the Department for International Development under the Asia - Regional Resilience to a Changing Climate (ARRCC) Met Office Partnership (MOP) programme. This post is based in Leeds, with some international travel required. You will be responsible for conducting research on weather and climate services and the socio-economic benefits of such services in the South Asia region under the supervision of Dr. Marta Bruno Soares.
Candidate profile
You will have a PhD in a relevant field. You will possess qualitative and quantitative research skills in addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management and IT skills. You will also have relevant fieldwork experience in developing countries, ideally with experience of working in South Asia.
