Job Details
Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge?
Do you have a background in molecular biology and transgenic studies?
Do you want to further your career in one of the UK's leading research intensive Universities?
Factor XIII-A is an unusual protein because it is secreted by an unconventional pathway, which may mean that not all of the cells that synthesize it are able to secrete it. Our previous studies have identified resident tissue macrophages as the secretory cells, but we want to narrow down the type of macrophage more exactly to enable us to characterize the unusual secretory pathway. The successful applicant will be responsible for further identifying and characterising the cells which release blood clotting Factor XIII-A into the circulation.
