Faculty Positions in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology in the Stanford University
School of Medicine, is seeking board certified/eligible applicants at the Assistant, Associate, or Full
Professor level in the University Tenure Line, Medical Center or Clinician Educator line who can
contribute to the Division’s clinical and research enterprise. Exceptional candidates will have leadership
experience in developing and guiding clinical research programs in pediatric malignancy. Areas of
emphasis include solid tumors, survivorship, and palliative care with a record of successful collaboration
and mentorship.

• The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment
to research and teaching.
• The major criteria for appointment in the Medical Center Line are excellence in the overall mix of
scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, clinical care, teaching, and institutional service
appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
• The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical
care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the
individual is expected to fulfill.
Academic line/rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful
candidate.

This recruitment supports an ongoing initiative in the Department of Pediatrics to expand the Division of
Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and its research and clinical programs. Successful applicants will have
demonstrated outstanding (or the promise of outstanding) clinical/ translational research and clinical
program development relevant to pediatric hematology/oncology. Successful candidates must have an
M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or Ph.D. degree.
