Job Details
The School of Education is seeking to appoint a full time temporary Senior Teaching Associate to assist with delivery of the BPS accredited MSc and BSc Psychology of Education programmes in 2019-20.
The successful candidate will work with existing staff in teaching across a range of units and will supervise dissertations on the MSc Psychology of Education programme, and possibly on other MSc programmes. The MSc Psychology of Education is a BPS accredited conversion course which is highly attractive to students who have extensive relevant professional experience and are preparing for professional training and careers as psychologists in the education, counselling and mental health services. The BSc degree uses psychological research methods to understand and interpret social and human behaviour in the context of education.
The successful candidate will augment the existing highly-successful team, and it is hoped will add strengths in areas where student interest exceeds our present capacity. Applicants with expertise biological psychology and cognitive psychology, and how those areas are relevant to education, are especially encouraged to apply.
The post is fixed term, full time and available from 1 August 2019, or as soon as possible thereafter, until 30 October 2020.
The closing date for applications is midnight on 29 May 2019. It is expected that the final selection process will be held as soon as possible following the closing date.
