Manage an Established Fostering Team

A Local Authority based in the South West is seeking an experienced Social Work manager to help manage their Fostering Team

Highlights:

  • Will be managing an established team of staff most of who are employed on a permanent basis
  • Staff are able to work autonomously and are able to work independently
  • Will be managing around 6 members of staff
  • The Local Authority is an innovative authority which takes on and applies new Applies Social Sciences research
  • Will have the opportunity to run a number of projects which is currently being trialled by the Authority
  • You will have the opportunity to bring your own ideas to the table
  • Will receive support from an experienced Operations Manager and the wider senior management team
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a current manager to work for a Local Authority which is innovative and flexible in its approach, which offers the successful candidate to use their experience and creativity to bring their own ideas to the table and suggest ways to improve performance of the team. Indeed you will be given the opportunity to implement ideas which you have seen work well in this environment

    As a manager you will be stepping into an established team with the majority employed on a permanent basis, as such the team is rather stable with minimal disruption expected. Furthermore members of the team are able to work autonomously and are able to get on with their work, which will give you more time to deal with the operational management of the team

    To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience within a Fostering team. Those candidate who do not have management experience but are career driven and keen to develop this experience are also encouraged to apply
