Complete Your AMHP Training

A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Mental Health services and those candidates who are successful are being offered the opportunity to complete their AMHP training.

  • Will be based in a small team where you will have dedicated supervision time with your manager on a monthly basis

  • This is an excellent opportunity for those candidates who are keen to complete their AMHP training as the Local Authority sends their staff to complete the AMHP course and also warrants them so that they are able to practice as an AMHP. To help support those that are on the course the authority also provides 5 days per year as study leave. As well as the AMHP course you will have access to arrange of courses not only offered by the Authority but across the wider teaching partnership and a range of external providers

    The Local authority operate the Think Family Approach and have recently restructured their services in order to support this model. They have also improved information sharing between services so that you are able to provide a more holistic package of care with input from a range of professionals. Furthermore the Local Authority benefits from having a large range of supporting statutory services which staff are able to access in order to gain support with their case work.

    To be considered for this post you should have experience of working within a Mental Health service.
