Key Account Manager / Germany

One of our clients, world's leading chemical manufacturer is currently looking for a Key Account Manager in West Germany.


Our client offers you an exposure to international network and great career opportunities. Very complex and innovative products on the other hand will allow you to enlarge your knowledge within the field.
You will be mainly covering the DACH region. What you will be offered is a full time home office which means we will consider candidates from everywhere in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.


You main responsibilities will include:


* Manage and increase sales with an entrepreneurial mind-set
* Successfully penetrate new account targets in line with the Global strategic intent for the market segment
* Manage, grow and expand sales in the assigned markets to meet or exceed annual plan
* Manage business with existing key accounts and expand business into new platforms
* Compose value propositions for complex business opportunities and bring prospect to closure

Experience required:

  • Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of technical sales/field engineering
  • Prior experience/responsibility for key national or global accounts or indirect channel selling, dealing with multiple levels of decision-making and influence
  • Experiences in selling mechanical and electro-mechanical solutions (engineered devices) in one or more of the following markets: Agricultural & Construction Equipment, Material Handling, Truck & Bus, Automotive and Mobile Hydraulics
  • Knowledge and experiences in lightweight active vibration control system, magneto-rheological primary suspension systems or Tactile Feedback Devices is desirable
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to translate customer requirements into viable technical solutions, identify and quantify the value of collaborative customer solutions for customers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including telephone and presentation skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
  • Computer proficiency, with an emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and capability to learn internal computer systems
  • Fluent in English and German on a (technical) business-level
