Receiving broad direction and working with a degree of autonomy, the Senior Developer is responsible for providing high quality services to key stakeholders across the university
With extensive experience in the software development platform of supported products, the role is responsible for implementing new and enhancing existing functionality to meet the strategic needs of the university. The Senior Developer provides technical guidance and development of more junior staff members, by fostering good technology practices in software development and keeping current with emerging trends.

To be successful you will need:
- Extensive experience with web development using a framework such as Ruby on Rails / Symfony / Drupal.
- Proven experience developing and using Object Oriented design, Service Oriented Architecture and API design is highly regarded.
- Proven experience analysing existing application processes and designing and implementing improvements.
- Proven experience with relational data modelling and SQL, experience with JavaScript and front end development is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer scenarios and requirements, to develop and deliver effective business solutions.
