School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences
The School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences (SCMB) combines the disciplines of Chemistry, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Parasitology into a single academic unit. The School has modern research laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment and research infrastructure. The School includes over 50 academic staff, who are widely published internationally and have extensive research backgrounds.
The role
The position will conduct research to understand the photo-physical properties of luminescent organic materials for organic light-emitting diodes. The materials classes range from small molecules to dendrimers and polymers with a focus on using time-resolved optical spectroscopy to understand and characterise the processes relevant to emission.
The person
The applicant should possess a PhD or post-doctoral experience in time-resolved spectroscopy of organic semiconductors or related materials. You should also have a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive research career, good general research skills, a strong methodological background, very good writing abilities, and the capacity to work with multidisciplinary research teams.

Remuneration
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at Academic Level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $84,878 - $90,982 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $99,308 - $106,449 p.a.).
