Job Purpose
Working under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the post holder will be actively involved in the planning, coordination and delivery of marketing and communications activity to support the recruitment of Postgraduate students for the College of Medical and Dental Sciences. This will involve marketing to a range of audiences and working with a range of stakeholders.
The post holder will work closely with the rest of the team to deliver a marketing and communications strategy which represents the needs of the College and the evolving operating environment. Working across the whole spectrum of the marketing mix and experienced in both digital and offline marketing communications, the post holder will manage and implement multiple projects including Postgraduate Open Days, postgraduate home marketing campaigns, and market research.

Part Time - 18.75 hours per week

Person Specification
- Good degree-level education or equivalent working experience
- Significant experience of working in a marketing or communications environment across a wide range of specialisms
- Experience of using a Content Management System for editing and maintaining websites
- Experience of using a Customer Relationship Management system for marketing purposes
- A proven, high standard of written and oral communication and confidence of dealing with projects at all levels
- Evidence of project management skills
- Experience of working on complex internal and external events
- Ability to work with initiative, under pressure and manage multiple workloads simultaneously
- Experience of attending marketing / recruitment fairs/events and representing an organisation
- Ability to manipulate complex databases to extract meaningful data, and to create succinct reports
- Well-developed administrative and organisational skills with a proven ability to pay attention to detail
- Experience of working with social media in a professional context
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a 'can-do' attitude
- Creative and innovative approach to problem solving
- Computer literate, confident and competent in the use of database systems and electronic communication
- A real team player who can also work independently
- Flexibility to work out of hours as required (including occasional evening and weekend work) and a willingness to travel
