Introduction

The Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB) is a Pakistan based examination and education system that was established in 2003 by Aga Khan University, in accordance with Ordinance CXIV of the Government of Pakistan to offer examination services for both Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC).

It is a Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education that offers qualifications in both English and Urdu. AKU-EB's primary purpose is to improve the quality of education. It achieves this by making examinations of reputable standard more accessible to Pakistani students so that AKU-EB qualifications are increasingly valued by leading higher education institutions within and outside the country.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Communications, you will mainly be responsible for monitoring and developing strategies for the AKU-EB website in order to keep it relevant and up-to-date.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • constantly monitoring and scanning of AKU-EB website and supporting efforts (visual and content) to keep the web presence fresh and dynamic through review of processes and website analytics
  • developing strategies to promote and drive traffic to AKU-EB website and integrating web plans with other social media channels (AKU-EB, AKU, AKDN, etc.)
  • working with the content writer and graphic designer to develop and update high-level public content, organisation and structure of AKU-EB website
  • liaising with the IT web team to work on web applications, quality assurance and operational issues
  • managing, updating content and monitoring AKU-EB social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube)
  • developing and executing various campaigns to increase page views and visitors reach
  • maintaining social media posts bank and analytics of all posted content including campaigns, videos etc.
  • regularly monitoring marketing trends and preparing a competitive analysis.


Requirements

You must have:
  • a Bachelor's degree, preferably in related field
  • good writing and communication skills
  • good data collection, management and analysis skills
  • a good work knowledge of MS-Office application and SharePoint
  • experience in developing and delivering creative digital communications
  • familiarity with the use of content management systems, web design, architecture and usability
  • basic knowledge of Adobe creative suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
  • the ability to work in teams.
