Family Safeguarding - Implementing New Model of Practice - £36k
New Social Work Practice Model
A Local Authority in the South East has received a grant from the Department of Educations Innovation Fund to implement the Family Safeguarding Model.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Social Worker to be involved in the roll out of a new Practice Model which has so far had an excellent impact within another Local Authority where it had been implemented, reducing the number of Children on CP Plans by 49%. The model aims to provide a more holistic package of care which addresses key themes that are prominent within the region - these include Domestic Abuse, Parental Mental Health, CSE and Missing Children.
As the Local Authority covers a small geographical region there is less travel involved compared to some of the larger authorities in the area. Staff within the team are able to visit most of their allocation within a short period of time and rarely have to travel outside the region.
To be considered for this post you should have completed your ASYE and experience within a front line Social Work team
